Poppyseed cake

Terry Wadsworth

3 cups flour
1 ½ tsp salt
1 ½ tsp baking powder
2 ½ cups sugar
1 ½ cups milk
1 ¼ cups oil
1 ½ tablespoon poppy seeds
3 eggs
1 ½ tsp vanilla
1 ½ tsp almond extract

Mix all ingredients. Pour into greased & floured angel food cake pan or 2 loaf pans. Bake for 1 hour in preheated oven. Must be glazed while hot!

Glaze: ¾ cup sugar, ¼ cup orange juice, ½ tsp vanilla, ½ tsp almond extract, 2 tsp melted butter.
