Cabbage Casserole - Family Favorite

Use a large glass baking pan - 10 X 15 or 9 X 13

Put a layer of chopped cabbage on the bottom.

Top with a pound or two of browned hamburger(season with salt and pepper)

Melt a cube of butter, add two cups of uncooked rice and some chopped onion, saute until yellow. (Use the same pan that you used for browning the hamburger) Layer on top of hamburger.

Pour 3 cups of water on top of it all. Add another layer of cabbage. Top with tomato sauce (I like plenty of sauce so use at least one large can). Cover with tin foil.

Bake for an hour at 350 until the rice is cooked.
